It is an absolute fact that carrying a child is one of the most beautiful things in the world. Even though you may not feel as your usual self as your body is going through this amazing transformation, it is so special to document this miracle by doing a maternity session. I promise to pose and direct you in a way that will make you feel comfortable and beautiful with that glowing radiance and joy of growing a baby.  Just smile, relax and enjoy this incredible time in your life! You are going to be amazing!
When should I schedule my maternity session?

Maternity sessions are best done between 30 and 36 weeks. This ensures that you have a big enough belly to “show”, but that you’re not uncomfortably big in your photos. I recommend reaching out early in your second trimester to reserve your due date. If pregnancy brain has gotten to you and you’re already closing in on your due date – please still be in touch. I can sometimes squeeze in a shoot last minute.

Your Session can take place either in the comfort and privacy of your own home, or on-location depending on the vision you prefer. Many clients choose an in-home experience if they prefer a more intimate session with the ability to do a bit more showing off of the belly.

Will family members be included in the session as well? Or is that extra?
Of course family is included! I believe that each maternity session should tell a story of your growing family in ADDITION to having photos of just you and your belly. All immediate family is included in the session including siblings and pets at no extra cost!

Ok, I’m ready to book my session! Now, what do I wear?
Solids, lace, or floral patterened maxi, or fitted dresses look great on camera and can easily be switched out during your session. The longer the better!  Expecting mamas should also wear a nude bra and maternity spanks under their dresses. Your family members should coordinate with you. For family outfits, try sticking to a color palate of up to 3 colors, or variations of a similar color. I ask all my clients to send their outfit choices to me prior to their sessions.

Will you use props in my session?
Not usually. I believe in capturing you and your family as naturally as possible during these sessions. If there is something sentimental that you would like include in your session, please let me know ahead of time and we can talk about how to incorporate it into your session.

A sneak preview of your session will be shared on my FACEBOOK BUSINESS PAGE a few days after your session, so make sure to LIKE IT to receive updates 🙂
